The first step to shifting your motorcycle is to let go of the clutch with your left hand and pulling it towards you. Remove the bolts holding the rod adjuster ends to the gear lever and foot lever. Turn the adjusters equal amounts to either increase or decrease the length of the overall rodadjusters.
Pull the clamp off carefully - you dont want to snatch on it.
One is by rotating the shifter mount on the shift shaft and the other is by lengthening or shortening the shift rod see diagram Either one will raise or lower the location of your shifter. Watch out for interference with bodywork. This only works if you are in neutral or second gear otherwise pressing down the gear shift will only take you to a lower gear. Press down on the gear shift to put the motorcycle into first gear.
